April Showers...

April has definitely been fun! We are continuing to learn, learn, learn! It is "raining" smart kinder-kids! This month we are continuing to learn about tens and ones, addition/subtraction story problems, and addition/subtraction math facts. We really are getting good! Let's not forget reading. We have some Accelerated Reader stars, too. Our class is buzzing with readers, and I love every minute of it. Be looking forward to some great times at SES. We will be having our first SlabTown Festival! Don't forget to bring in spare change so we can reach our $500 goal. We sure would like for Mrs. G to kiss the pig. Due to the unexpected snow break, we had to postpone our Dr. Seuss study to this week.  We have explored many books by Dr. Seuss, discussed his pen name, Theo LeSieg, learned about the narrator of each story and how to figure out who that might be, wrote what we would do on a rainy day, and laughed at all the cooky rhymes!  Instead of writing on paper like we usually do, we decided to write on our marker boards today for a change.  After reading, The Cat in the Hat, we wrote what we would do on a rainy day.  We had a lot of different ideas...here are a few!
