December!

Well, December is upon us.  I can hardly believe it. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break. We have been so busy here at school, that I haven't had time to post updates.  I did add some pictures and our 100's Club kiddos!  I need to add all the kiddos that know their ABC's and sounds...which might I add...is almost everyone!  This month we will be taking the winter STAR test.  I can't wait to see the growth!  Please check on the December newsletter for what is going on.  We have a ton of things this month.  Please remember to bring in canned goods this week, as well.  Thanks for everything you do!

Mrs. Dana's Kindergarten in The Three Bears.

Check out these actors and actresses!  They did a fantastic job!  We learned all about setting, characters, and major events in a story.  Watch out, Hollywood!

Happy Friday!

Today was a great day! We had a magic show about nutrition which the kids loved! Plus, the weather rocked! I think fall is on its way. Scholastic book orders are due on the 26th, Fall Festival is Saturday, September 21st, and our field trip is October 3rd. I will be adding some pictures soon from our learning. I hope you enjoy. Oh, and Luke's dad, Jared, was our Watch Dog, today! Thanks so much, Jared!

Thrilling Thursday!

This week has been really fun! We are learning about the letter L and its sound. We have also been learning our shapes and colors. We are also really working hard on writing our names. If you have time, let them practice at home. It is really important that you emphasize letter placement, as well. You could also visit the youTube links on my blog for fun learning songs. Don't forget the PTO meeting is this afternoon and the Watch Dogs Meeting is tonight. Have a great afternoon!

Alphabet Fun!

So much fun!

We went on a bear hunt for Corduroy's button.  Mrs. Missi had a button, but it wasn't the right one.  I hope we find it soon!

We practiced our name writing with our marker boards.  It was pretty fun!

Summer is Quickly Coming to an End!

Hey gang!
I hope everyone has had an amazing summer.  I know I have.  I have been camping and fishing at Kentucky Lake every chance I've gotten!  I traveled to Gulf Shores and Key West.  I even reeled in a shark.  Needless to say, I have made the most of my time off!  Now, it is time to get ready for a new year of Kindergarten.  I am so excited to spend the next year with all of my new kiddos.  Please follow my blog for pictures and information.  See you Tuesday!

Polar Plunge 2013

So, I have decided to participate in the Polar Plunge in February with a few teachers here at Symsonia.  It is a very worthy venture, and I am excited to take part.  Each participant is asked to raise money.  If there is anyone that enjoys my classroom blog, please feel free to contribute through my personal page.  I will have a link below!  Any amount makes a difference, and I would appreciate any help!!!
